Cyber fraud in Latvia continues to rise, costing residents millions of euros every year. Warnings from banks, businesses, and government institutions are everywhere, but the messages aren’t breaking through loudly enough. To make people truly pay attention, the National Cybersecurity Centre of Latvia took an unexpected approach. The campaign brought back the iconic scammers from the Latvian cult film The Foundation of Criminal Excellence and turned them into educators about today’s cyber scams. Through installations, an online video series, collaborations, and public communication, the characters exposed common scam tactics and showed people how to recognize them.
